Ms. Sainimere Veitata, Fijian PhD student at the Graduate School of Global Environmental Studies (GSGES) of Kyoto University, conducted the disaster waste management (DWM) training needs assessment (TNA) in Fiji from September 20 to 25, 2019. Ms. Veitata conducted interviews in the Lautoka City Council office with staff and representatives from the Commissioner Western Office. The TNA results had been presented at the 5th Summit of the Global Alliance of Disaster Research Institutes (GADRI) on September 1, 2019 and at the DWM contingency planning training workshop on March 23, 2022 in Lautoka.
