Partly because of the APN-funded project on disaster waste management in China, Fiji, and the Philippines, Dr. Glenn Fernandez was chosen as an Early Career Champion at the 2021 Sustainability Research and Innovation (SRI2021) Congress hosted virtually from Brisbane, Australia. At the closing plenary session, Dr. Fernandez gave a presentation on the highlights and conclusions of the “Sustainable Solutions from the Global South” sessions.
Dr. Fernandez was later congratulated by the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) for his achievement.
