Dr. Glenn Fernandez attended the virtual 2021 Solid Waste Management Association of the Philippines (SWAPP) Conference on November 25-26, 2021, where it was announced that the theme of the 2022 conference would be disaster waste management. After the conference, Dr. Fernandez and Dr. Noralene Uy applied for SWAPP membership.
